CoSI Pilot (DroneSim) is a virtual reality simulator for training drone pilots, built by Bangkok University's Center of Specialty Innovation with the Defence Technology Institute (DTI) of Thailand. It builds flying, decision-making and situational-awareness skills, with training aligned to both civilian and defence standards.

### Training in the simulator

-   Realistic missions: reconnaissance, search and rescue, and tactical operations
-   Hard conditions: mountains, dense cities and strong wind
-   Accurate drone physics: flight dynamics, controller response and onboard sensors
-   Trainees choose the drone model and mission to match each lesson
-   A built-in assessment gives real-time feedback and performance analytics
-   Organizations can screen and prepare pilots before real missions, with no risk to equipment or people

### Results

-   More than 500 users trained
-   40% fewer incidents in real-world training
